Error: Cannot sign in using DirecTV and receive a not authorized error
Solution 1:
This error could show up if you are trying to sign in with DIRECTV and your TV provider is DIRECTV STREAM or vice versa. DIRECTV and DIRECTV STREAM are two different providers, so signing in with the correct provider can resolve this issue for you. Can you please try the following:
- Can you please uninstall the YES app and then reinstall the latest version of YES app from the App/Play store
- Launch the YES app once installed and login with your account. If you can't remember your account information, you can always register for a new account
- Tap on the 'ACCOUNT' tab
- Tap on 'Manage TV Provider'
- Sign out of your TV provider in case it shows you are logged in (ignore this step if you are not logged in to any TV provider)
- Tap on 'Manage TV Provider' again and then tap on 'OTHER TV PROVIDERS'
- Select your current TV provider to log in with them (please be sure to select DIRECTV STREAM, in case you are with them, rather than DIRECTV)
- Once you have logged into your TV provider, tap on the 'WATCH tab' to start watching content (if the content does not play or you see an error, try to drag your thumb from the top of the screen, around the YES logo, downwards to activate the pull to refresh option)
You should be able to watch content as long as you have a valid TV provider subscription and you live within the YES Network entitlement region.
Solution 2:
Sometimes this error can occur, if your login session has expired. If this is the case, please try the following:
- Tap on the WATCH tab and then pull down from the top area of the screen (around the YES logo), downwards in order to reload the content – see screenshot below. This should refresh your session.
Solution 3:
If the pull down to refresh option does not resolve the issue for you, please try the following:
- Launch the YES app and tap on the 'ACCOUNT' tab
- Tap on 'Manage TV Provider'
- Sign out of your TV provider in case it shows you are logged in (ignore this step if you are not logged in to any TV provider)
- Tap on 'Manage TV Provider' again and then tap on 'OTHER TV PROVIDERS'
- Select your current TV provider to log in with them (please be sure to select DIRECTV STREAM, in case you are with them, rather than DIRECTV)
- Once you have logged into your TV provider, tap on the 'WATCH tab' to start watching content
